Outreach Students from all over Texas to perform scenes at UT

Students in grades 4-8 from Southeast Austin, Victoria, Houston and Round Rock will perform scenes from Shakespeare's comedies this Wednesday at the first-ever UT Children's Shakespeare Festival.

The festival will be held in the B. Iden Payne Theater in the Winship Drama Building from 11:30 a.m. to 1 p.m.. Admission is free and the audience is free to come and go as necessary; this is a lunch-hour performance! Students will perform scenes from "A Midsummer Night's Dream," "Comedy of Errors," "Taming of the Shrew," and "Twelfth Night." All four groups participated in Shakespeare at Winedale Outreach projects this year; they also performed April 29 at Winedale during the annual spring Festival of Play.
