Application for Shakespeare at Winedale

Winedale student performer

Students accepted into the program register for two courses, of six and eleven weeks respectively, totaling six hours of transferable academic credit. The first six week session, beginning in early May, is dedicated to independent study: close reading of the three play texts, consideration of critical questions, preparing for role assignments. The eleven-week session comprises two very exciting, different, and challenging experiences: the first, nine weeks in residence at Winedale; the second, two weeks in London. The total commitment extends from early May through late August.

Costs for the program include course registration fees, approximately $2100 (in 2007), and a $1200 activity charge related to the touring season. Accommodations and meals, both at Winedale and on tour, are included.

The Summer Class of 2008 will study Romeo and Juliet, The Merchant of Venice, and Antony and Cleopatra.

Applications are due April 14th, 2008.
